Three infiltrators were shot dead on the India-Pakistan border in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. On Friday, a video that depicted the terrorists trying to cross into Indian territory went viral online.

The three terrorists were seen walking in the footage, which was taken from an Indian Army source, using a long lens from what appeared to be behind a row of pine trees. In the Kamalkote region of Uri, the terrorists were eliminated close to the Madiyan Nanak checkpoint.

On August 25, at around 08.45 am, the forwards sections of the Line of Control in India came into touch with terrorists. This contact sparked a fierce firefight in which the terrorists were killed.

Following a search of the region, the army found their bodies as well as a sizable number of weapons and other supplies typical of a fight, including two AK-47s, one Chinese M-16 rifle, and other ammo.

The Army has successfully thwarted four attempts at infiltration at the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir over the course of the last three days.
